***Bridgewater Food Pantry Donations: ***Thank you to everyone that donated to the Bridgewater Food Pantry. We were able to help a lot of our Bridgewater Families during this upcoming holiday. Thank you!
***Parent Pick-Up: ***This is a reminder that vehicles should not be parking in the first row closest to the main entrance at dismissal time. We have all of our families wait in this area for dismissal, and it is very dangerous with vehicles backing in and out of parking spots. Again, we request that you please do not park in the front spots closest to the school at dismissal time. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe!
***Pre-K Drop-Off Reminder: ***When dropping your child off at Pre-K we have noticed a large number of families crowding the door and sidewalk in front of the entrance to Pre-K. We are requesting that families wait on the other side of the crosswalk where there is a large sidewalk area until the entrance becomes fewer in numbers and more space is available for families to safely cross the crosswalk and bring their child to their teacher. This will also make it easier for everyone to see one another when driving or crossing the street. Also, everyone should remember to please drive slowly. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation!
***Mitchell Dismissal Reminder: ***This is just a reminder that parents/guardians need to emailgmesdismissals@bridge-rayn.orgfor any daily changes if they do not send a note to school. Recently, we have had parents/guardians that are only emailing directly with the teachers. However, sometimes teachers are not able to check their email until the end of the day or the teacher is not in school which is leading to some confusion at dismissal. Again, we request that you either send in a note with your child or emailgmesdismissals@bridge-rayn.org. If you send an email you will always receive an email confirmation from our office staff. Please remember to have your ID too. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

***Kindness Week: ***World Kindness Day is Sunday, November 13, 2022. In recognition of this day GMSPA has provided a coloring sheet for the students to complete and staff will be recognizing students with a Kindness Certificate at the end of the week. Finally, we will be having School Spirit Day this Thursday. Everyone is encouraged to wear a kindness themed t-shirt to school or purple or green. From the National Today website: World Kindness Day is an international holiday that was formed in 1998, to promote kindness throughout the world and is observed annually on November 13 as part of the World Kindness Movement. It is observed in many countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and the U.A.E. World Kindness Day presents us with the opportunity to reflect upon one of the most important and unifying human principles. ALICE Drill: Tomorrow we will be conducting our first ALICE Drill of the year. ALICE (ALERT, LOCKDOWN, INFORM, COUNTER, EVACUATE) The purpose of the drill is to ensure we are prepared to proactively handle a threat. The teachers have been discussing procedures with students for several days during Morning Meeting to prepare for the drill. These drills are run just like our fire drills. Bridgewater Police and Fire will be here to monitor and assist. Attached please find attached a social story that you can use at home to help prepare your child for the drill. Please know that in the future just like our fire drills we will not be notifying families of our ALICE drills. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work continuously to keep everyone safe at school. Please click the link for the social story: ALICE Social Story
Thank You Bridgewater Police Department: Today, we are fortunate to have officers from the Bridgewater Police Department coming to visit all of the students at lunch. We also have officers visiting our Pre-K classes and making presentations to our grade 2 classes on road safety. We are fortunate to have such a positive relationship with our local safety officials. Again, a big thank you to the Bridgewater Police department for their visit and presentations. We are thankful for all that you do!
Thank You Bridgewater Fire Department: Last Friday all of our students participated in Bus Evacuation. Students were spoken to on the bus by officers from the Bridgewater Fire Department and then evacuated the bus with assistance from the fire fighters. All students participated as two buses stayed behind after arrival so that all of our parent drop-offs could participate. We even had a couple of our Pre-K classes come out and sit on the bus! Again, thank you to the Bridgewater Fire Department for helping keep our students safe and prepared.
Thank You Badgers Football: We would like to thank all of the team members of Badger Football for collecting items for our students to use and play with at recess. They were able to collect balls, jump ropes, hula hoops, and other fun games. Thank you Badgers for thinking of us! All of the students will enjoy playing with these items while out at recess. GO BADGERS!
